Multimillet Vegetable Upma recipe


Health Sutra Jowar/Multimillet/ Water 3 ½ cups*
Ghee/Oil – 2 spoons or as required
Vegetables – ½ cup chopped (carrot/beans/peas)
Green Chilies 2 to 3 chopped
Onion – 1 (medium) chopped
Ginger ¼ teaspoon nely chopped (optional)
Mustard seeds – ¼ teaspoon
Jeera – ¼ teaspoon
Ground nut or Cashew nut 2 Table spoon (optional)
Curry Leaves – 1 Sprig
SaltAs per taste
Coriander leaves – for garnish
Lemon juice 1 teaspoon (optional)


Heat 2 table spoons of oil/ghee in a non-stick cooking pan at low ame and add mustard seeds, jeera and Ground nuts/ Cashew nuts and fry until they turn into golden brown color.
Add ginger, green chilies and curry leaves and fry for 1 min. Add onions and nely chopped vegetables and sauté till they turn into slightly golden brown color
Add 31/2 cups of water, salt and allow it to boil at high ame. To it, slowly add 1 cup of Health Sutra Millet Upma rawa while mixing to avoid lumps
Turn to low ame with lid on and cook it for 15-18 minutes. Garnish with coriander and lemon juice.
